Role
Motion Designer / Broadcast Graphic Designer — concept, art direction, animation and compositing.
Project goal
A memorial broadcast opener dedicated to Chornobyl, built around a stark red-and-black visual language. Fragmented industrial imagery, heavy contrast and distressed textures create an atmosphere of warning and remembrance rather than spectacle. The objective was to create a respectful visual frame for remembrance, where design supports the subject instead of competing with it and where every transition has a clear emotional purpose.
Creative and technical approach
The sequence was designed as a short, concentrated piece in which image, typography and motion carry historical weight. The restrained pacing lets the visual tension build without turning the subject into entertainment, keeping the focus on memory, consequence and reflection.
Every visual decision was intentionally restrained. Instead of relying on fast broadcast effects, the sequence uses controlled pacing, limited colour, texture and carefully timed typography so the subject remains central and the design supports the emotional context.
Result
A concise memorial identity that feels respectful, legible and emotionally focused. The final opener supports the broadcast context without competing with it, using motion design to create a quiet visual frame for remembrance.
