Role
Graphic Designer / Art Director — outdoor visual adaptation, broadcast-promotion layout, typography, and large-format production design.
Project goal
Promote television coverage of the Torino 2006 Winter Olympic Games through large-format outdoor graphics. The campaign had to connect three things at once: the visual recognition of a global sporting event, the broadcaster’s own identity, and practical information about when audiences could watch the coverage.
Creative and technical approach
The layouts use the official event language as a starting point, combining strong red fields, clean white space, Olympic references, broadcaster branding, and compact scheduling information. Rather than competing with the event identity, the design gives it room and organises the broadcaster’s message around it.
Billboard proportions demanded a simple reading order. Event recognition comes first, the channel and broadcast message second, and the detailed schedule last. This hierarchy makes the design useful from both long street distance and closer viewing, while maintaining a clear link between international event branding and local television promotion.
Result
A clean outdoor campaign that turned broadcast information into a visible part of the city during a major sporting event. The work connects television, event branding, and public-space communication in one concise visual system.
